Two powerful kings rose up in opposition to His Cause, but the severe persecutions to which He and His followers were subjected failed to stop the spread of His teachings. 

Today, millions of people from every religious and national background in the world have, in response to Baha'u'llah's teachings, forsaken the prejudices which kept them apart and have joined hands to bring about the long-awaited day of universal peace and brotherhood promised in all the Holy Books of the past.
