This book is the second in the series Companions of the Crimson Ark which tells the dramatic stories of women and men, young and old, who, in the time of Bahá’u’lláh and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, entered the Cause of God and, despite many difficulties and hardships, served it until the end of their lives.

It introduces us to the martyrs Varqá and Rúhu’lláh; to Mullá ‘Alí Ján and his wife ‘Alavíyyih; and to Mihrabán, the courageous Zoroastrian boy who saved the lives of two Bahá’í pilgrims.
