The original content of this book, was written by Ḥájí Muḥammad Afshar during the time of Baha’u’llah, about knowing and recognizing the Manifestation of God, as proofs of the Revelations of the Bab and Baha'u'llah.  It is believed that Baha’u’llah viewed the book and praised it.  ‘Abdu’l-Baha also had referred several individuals to this book in answer to their queries on certain topics, and those Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha are included in this current edition of the book.  The current edition has been edited by Foad Seddigh and Mehrdad Jafari, with expanded commentary, and it also includes the story of the life of the original author.
