The life and work of the Guardian told through diary entries and letters of pilgrims and visitors to the Bahá’í Holy Places, as well as the accounts of those who worked to assist the Guardian. As in all such cases, these recollections must be taken in the spirit of pilgrim notes — interesting and thought-provoking highlights that provide unique insights and inspiration, but not Bahá’í Sacred Text.
Volume 2 (1952-1973) cover the years of The Ten Year Crusade, including the tragic and untimely death of Shoghi Effendi in 1957 and the decision by the ‘Chief Stewards’ of the Faith, the Hands of the Cause of God, to carry forward the Guardian’s Plan to its successful conclusion and the establishment of the final piece in Bahá’u’lláh’s Administrative Order, the Universal House of Justice.
